The primary function of the Account Manager role for our client 'Samsung Electronics Australia Pty Ltd', within the Consumer Electronics Division is responsible for overseeing the operational and sales performance of stores and accounts within their assigned area. A key focus is building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders, including store owners, managers, staff, and SEA personnel (e.g., State Managers and other Account Managers). This role oversees store performance and leverages relationships and utilises data to identify and pursue opportunities which maximize sales and contribute to revenue growth.

Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Analyse area turnover (T/O) by category and implement strategies for improvement as required.
  • Conduct gap analyses and assess store market share by category to identify and develop growth opportunities.
  • Monitor and efficiently resolve dead inventory issues, ensuring consistently optimal stock levels to prevent stock-outs within store
  • Conduct regular account business review meetings, identifying sales opportunities, and efficiently resolving issues related to discounts, claims, and spare parts.
  • Ad-hoc duties as required.

 

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications are desirable but not essential.

Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in retail sales, account management, and/or store operations, including 3+ years in a retail or reseller environment (essential)
  • Experience in the consumer electronics industry

Technical

  • Advanced understanding and knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (including PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Smart sheet).  
  • Experience in consumer electronics or a related field
