Primary Function
This is a full-time role on a one-year fixed-term contract, with the potential for extension. Based at our Olympic Park, Sydney offices, working hours will generally be in the afternoon and evening, depending on livestream production schedules.
Our mission is to create memorable, interactive live broadcast experiences while integrating cutting-edge technology to drive exceptional results. We are seeking a talented and experienced Technical Producer to lead our live broadcast efforts, specifically for the product team, to ensure seamless delivery of high-quality broadcasts.
The Technical Producer (TP) will play a critical role in overseeing the technical production of live broadcasts, focusing on product launches, demos, and interactive events. This individual will be responsible for managing all technical aspects of live broadcast productions, collaborating with the product and creative teams to ensure flawless execution. The ideal candidate will have expertise in broadcast technology, a deep understanding of live production workflows, and a passion for cutting-edge digital solutions.
Duties and Responsibilities

- Oversee all technical operations for live product broadcasts, from planning through to execution, ensuring high-quality broadcasts.
- Collaborate with the product, creative, and broadcast teams to develop technical plans for live streaming events, product launches, demos, and interactive experiences.
- Lead the selection, setup, and maintenance of broadcast equipment, including cameras, streaming software, lighting, audio systems, and special effects. Ensure all technology is up-to-date and in working order at all times.
- Supervise and guide the broadcast team, including videographers, ensuring efficient teamwork and adherence to deadlines.
- Ensure smooth integration of live broadcast elements such as graphics, video feeds, and multimedia content during live product events.
- Proactively monitor all technical systems during live broadcasts and respond quickly to any issues, ensuring minimal disruption.
- Work with external vendors and third-party services to ensure optimal technical support for live broadcasts.
- Lead post-event technical reviews, assess performance, and implement improvements for future broadcasts.
- Work closely with the product team, project managers, and other key stakeholders to ensure that live broadcasts align with project goals and brand standards.

Qualifications and Experience
|
- Minimum of 3 years in live broadcast or technical direction for digital or broadcast productions, preferably within an agency or product-focused environment.
- Strong knowledge of live broadcast technologies, including camera systems, video switches, streaming platforms, audio engineering, and multimedia systems.
- Familiarity with broadcast software (e.g., OBS, vMix, Wirecast), content management systems, and video editing tools.
- Experience with live streaming on multiple platforms (e.g., YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn Live, Instagram, custom platforms).
- Understanding of UX/UI principles in relation to live product broadcasts.
- Experience working with augmented reality (AR) or virtual reality (VR) technology in live events.
- Certification in broadcast technology or related field.
