Primary Function

The Account Director will be responsible for working closely with the Head of Retail in the ongoing strategic development, execution and management of Brand, Retail Experience and Promotional Campaigns

Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee brand and event project management and business
  • Initiate project with client briefing and organise team internally and with suppliers
  • Manage concept and designs development end to end, including presentation to the client
  • Negotiate scope and cost with client (supported by directors)
  • Manage projects with regard to cost management, planning, concept, design, technical, procurement, production, logistics, and maintenance/operation aspects
  • Manage Team Financials, including forecasting, budgeting, invoicing, and time tracking
  • Oversee management events, including venue and any promotional requirements (including operations and logistics)
  • Liaise with clients and account team to establish program requirements and objectives, including obtaining briefs for retail, brand and experiential projects
  • Ensure a tactical plan for business growth with retail and experiential capability is in place for all clients
  • Manage all direct reports and resource allocation
  • Manage and maintain a strategic overview of accounts, and proactively advise client on new issues and resolution options
  • Actively contribute to client marketing strategy and thinking
  • Raise issues or concerns with the client in a timely manner, following through to resolution
  • Demonstrate innovation and creativity beyond client ideas
  • Strategically lead project-related work, including process and schedule management
  • Ensure all agreed client Key Performance Indicators are achieved throughout the year.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • At least 8 years + previous experiential project management experience within a marketing agency or team (preferred)
  • Strong marketing planning and execution knowledge
  • Strong knowledge and expertise in project management for brand experience & events
  • Experience in managing planning, concept, production, logistics, staffing, and operations, for event projects
  • Exceptional local knowledge of event management in Australia
  • Strong financial competencies and commercial acumen
  • Strong motivation for business development
