Primary Function

The Project Manager is responsible for end-to-end retail project management, production coordination, and quality control across the Retail Environment division for Cheil Australia. This role ensures the seamless delivery of projects on time, on budget, and to the highest standard, while maintaining strong client and supplier relationships.

Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the planning, development, and execution of retail and brand experience projects from brief to delivery

  • Provide practical, cost-effective, and creative production solutions for retail fixtures, displays, fit-outs, and store development projects

  • Work closely with internal account teams and clients to understand project objectives and deliverables

  • Prepare and manage project timelines, budgets, and cost estimates

  • Source, liaise, and negotiate with vendors and suppliers to ensure project quality and efficiency

  • Coordinate internal and external resources through design, technical, procurement, production, logistics, installation, and maintenance phases

  • Present project concepts, scopes, and costings to clients

  • Manage financial tracking and ensure project profitability

  • Maintain documentation and ensure adherence to brand and production guidelines

  • Support the Senior Project Manager in reporting, forecasting, and process improvement initiatives

Desired Skills and Experience

Qualifications and Experience

  • Tertiary qualification in Project Management, Design, Engineering, or related field

  • 4+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably within retail, shop fitting, or IT/Telco project environments

  • Strong knowledge of retail production, procurement, and supplier management

  • Experience in client service and project coordination

  • Understanding of retail marketing, merchandising, and POS materials

  • Experience working with design, engineering, or fabrication teams is advantageous
